Do you have devices that will help hard-of-hearing people use
the phone?
There are many amplification devices sold that
can help with phone communication. The most common are strap on phone devices, inline amplifiers, and
amplified phones. We recommend that you come into the office to look in our
catalogs. We order devices for clients on an individual basis.

What is TTY and how much does it cost?
TTY in an abbreviation for TeleTYpe, a
device that the Deaf use with their regular phone to communicate with other
Deaf or with hearing people who have a TTY. Another name for this device is TDD (Telecommunications Device for the
Deaf). There are several makes and models available and they range in price from
two hundred to seven hundred dollars.
